My 2017 engagement season kicked off with Santanna + Travis (and their pup, Bella, too)! These two were so fun to photograph. As you'll see, the way they interact is super sweet and joyful. I loved getting to hike around and get to know them better during their session at Hematite Lake.Read More
I can't believe it's already time for me to type out my monthly goals for March. February met my standard of being a month filled with rest and fellowship. Jesse and I went on some awesome dates, got to visit our good friends in Louisville, and relaxed more than usual. I'm sad it's over, but I'm also pumped to get back to shooting engagements and weddings this weekend!Read More
I can’t believe in less than a week it will already be the beginning of a new month! I know February is a short month, but it seriously flew by for me. I just wanted to do a super simple blog post today of my February favorites in an ABC format. I got this idea from another blog I follow (www.theherrintons.com). Before I jump into this blog post I want to give a little background on my photography journey up until this point. I started taking interest in photography after my parents bought me my first DSLR camera for my fourteenth or fifteenth birthday (I can’t remember). I loved it, and I took the most embarrassing photos (pictured below) and thought they were so cool! Lol. How did I ever have friends!? Someone should have told me putting sprinkles on my eye was a little strange.Read More
I can't believe it's already February! How crazy. I have been looking forward to this month since August, when teaching and photography both began full swing. This is the only month out of the year I have no sessions and no editing aka REST time...although I will still work 40 hours a week teaching. lol. It's all good though. This season of life has taught me so much amidst the packed schedule.
Before I go over my February goals I want to reflect on all that got accomplished in January (and a few things that didn't). whoops. There's grace, it's ok. I'll list my January goals below and put a [X] on the things I got done, and a [-] next to what didn't.Read More
